Science Oxford Live is Oxfordshire’s cultural centre for science and enterprise. Divided into three different zones, the centre offers a varied experience of science for visitors of all ages.

Science Lounge

The science lounge is a freely accessible space where children can enjoy their packed lunches and have a look at our permanent Science in Oxford exhibition.

Discovery Zone

The discovery zone is an investigative area for children up to 12 years old and primary schools to experience and discover science through play.
Allow an hour for a visit to the discovery zone and up to 2 hours if you combine it with one of our shows or workshops.

Exchange Zone

The exchange zone is where we do our shows and workshops for schools.

Getting Here

Most schools choose to come by coach that they have organised themselves. There is no coach parking at Science Oxford Live, however coaches can drop off school parties outside but will need to park elsewhere.
