NSEW - Kick Start Funding from British Science Association
For National Science and Engineering Week (NSEW) 2011, the British Science Association will be coordinating their kick-start fund with small grants for schools provided by BIS (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills). This kick-start fund will be distributed throughout the UK, with grants of £200 to help schools organise their own science and engineering events as part of NSEW.
To be eligible for funding, schools must either:
a) have high proportion of pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds
b) have a high proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals and/or
c) be a small school based in a remote and rural location.
How to apply
Full details will be posted to all eligible schools across the UK in September. For more information visit the NSEW website Applications are straight-forward and online and applications will open on 1st September closing on 25th October.
