Scimorph to ease the transition into secondary science
Scimorph is an innovative new science resource for children in upper KS2 looking to start secondary school. It is available to every child at home and in the classroom.
The 3D animated computer character responds to interaction from users, and was developed in consultation with the Science Learning Centres.
Scimorph takes students through the core components of the Key Stage 2 science curriculum, including The Gravity Zone, where children can learn about the effects of gravity on different planets, the Sound Zone, where children can see the effects and movement of sound waves and the Bug Zone, where children can learn about the spread and effects of germs and infections.
The online resource also contains supporting materials for parents and teachers to help them guide children around the site and support their learning.
