Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Project Opportunities for MK Schools

STEM by stealth
An offer is being made to schools in the Milton Keynes area to engage in a funded project to enhance the engineering skills and raise careers awareness for pupils in Key Stage 1, 2 and 3. The project has been designed to run over three full academic years with opportunities to tailor provision for individual schools.

The offer includes teacher training, curriculum resources, curriculum mapping, engagement with industry, contact with industry mentors and STEM Ambassadors, community projects, national competitions, enhancement and enrichment activities and mapping to the BTEC STEM Leadership Qualification levels 1 and 2.

The projects offer a complete continuum of activities to compliment a school’s existing provision. Schools may find that curriculum, timetable or staffing may make full engagement difficult hence there is also an opportunity to discuss tailored provision.

There are places available for up to 10 secondary and 30 primary schools. For further details e.mail or visit the primary engineers website
