Science Oxford Live is a public science centre and event programme which welcomes students and teachers from secondary schools and colleges. The centre includes the discovery zone, a hands-on science gallery with lots of interactive exhibits exploring themes such as light, sound, puzzles, forces and magnetism. There are also flexible event and exhibition spaces and smaller meeting rooms.
Throughout the year we run regular events for students at Science Oxford Live, such as science enterprise workshops and science drama days as well as special events such as animation and podcasting courses. Our evening events are suitable for 13+ years and allow students to discover more about an aspect of cutting edge science, to gain an insight into how science is turned into innovation that sells, to explore the science behind the news or to get to grips with a big idea in a creative way.
Small groups of teachers are welcome to use our meeting room free of charge and we are happy to discuss bespoke visit structures and prices with teachers or group leaders.
